Description
Our client, a manufacturing industry specializing in paints and coatings, is seeking a Production Operator - 5 to join their team. As a Production Operator - 5, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting production processes. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, safety consciousness, and teamwork skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Production Operator - 5
Location: Houston, TX
Pay Range: $16.00 per hour
Shift: 1st shift: Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm, Some Saturday when needed
What's the Job?
- Execute assigned production tasks in accordance with procedures to ensure safety, quality, service, and cost objectives are met.
- Perform daily production, preventative maintenance, process data collection, and administration tasks following established control systems.
- Report safety, quality, or process issues to supervisors promptly to maintain operational standards.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining high quality standards.
- Assist in continuous improvement activities and contribute to safety and quality initiatives.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow safety instructions and labels accurately.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and pass forklift certification.
- Strong measurement and weighing skills for accurate production and batch control.
