Company History
History
Weston Insurance Holdings Corporation is a privately held company formed in March 2011, specifically to create a windstorm property insurance company to address a lack of available coverage in the Gulf Coast states. After a year of working with key stakeholders, including agents, key clients, investors, reinsurers and regulators, Weston Insurance Company received its Permit to Form and Consent Order from the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation effective February 20, 2012. Weston received a Certificate of Authority to write property insurance on an admitted basis in Florida effective December 21, 2012, in Texas effective May 13, 2015, in Alabama effective June 8, 2015, and in Mississippi effective January 8, 2016.
